How can I have 12 years of experience in science and never have worked with ZOMGLAZ0RSWTFBBQ!!!!1111!!!!

Something is clearly wrong with science.

Ahem. In other words, I am qualified for a job but I fail at this...

5. Demonstrates capability of assessing technology advances in programs directed at establishing, improving, and implementing personal protection equipment for directed energy devices including portable lasers.

I could do it, I really could, it's easy. Give me a week or less to look up laser tech and I could know enough to do what they're talking about, but that's not "demonstrating capability."

How do I turn, "I CAN LEARN IT WAAAAAAH" into... well... that thing above?

Dear Fashion Industry,

I know that the average height for a guy is 5’10” these days. I understand this. And I know that you, logically, size your clothes to the bell curve. I understand this. I’m annoyed by it, but I understand.

But you see, there’s a problem with your plan. The average is rising, but those of us who are already adult are not still growing with it!!! I know I’m short, trust me, every day I’m reminded by the entire world. I am not, however, freakishly short. I’m 5’4” tall. Yeah, that’s short, 6inches shorter than “average” for the guys, but that’s still well above the “midget” category, guys. REALLY.

So tell me, dear Fashion Industry, why the SMALLEST your shirts go is a 32/33 arm? And tell me, why is it that while I can barely fit a MEDIUM collar, my arms are still FOUR INCHES TOO SHORT for the SMALLEST arms?

Fuck you, fashion industry. Fuck you very much.
